I am delighted to share the experience of a new yet very wise Reiki student.
My recent experience of participating in a four-day course with Mamta Nanda, initiating me into the First Degree of the Usui System of Reiki Healing
Having already had two treatments from Mamta, each of which had made a perceptible difference to my energy levels and general well-being, I was eager to try and learn more about what lies behind this seemingly simple process of ‘laying on of hands’. What a revelation it has been, and continues to be! Learning the history of the lineage, told in Mamta’s gentle, clear tones, began to open up views from the foothills, as it were, while the sensation of concentrating on one’s own centre of being in relation to others, drawing on the universal energy available to us all, seemed both strange and familiar. As the course continued, it felt as if we were ascending those foothills – only to find, as one always does, another horizon yet higher! But there is a satisfaction in the actual climbing, not least in the companionship of my fellow Reiki traveller, and of Mamta, our wise guide but also our unassuming fellow explorer.
After the course was finished, there was a feeling of fulfilment, but also of so much more to be learned and revealed. My friends and family have all noticed an improvement in my health and capacity for doing things (which had both been sapped in recent years by a chronic condition of vestibular migraine). I shall certainly come back to Mamta for further learning.
